Tiffany Lim

Hey wanderlust! I've been procrastinating for these posts to be out and decided to "work" on the go for these contents to be out, while I watch another series at home 😅

Great Ocean Road definitely is worth going and it will be even better if you drive there. It's always better to rent the car in advance, otherwise, the bill will shot up in the matter of few days. We rented our car with Hertz at about $100 for one and a half day?

It's about 3hours to drive over to our cottage and I would advise you not to drive at night, the fear is real 😰😱  It's is pitch dark and the only light source is from your car. If you're driving at night, be prepared by buying some food over so you wouldn't have to drive out for dinner if the flight timing ain't in your favour.

The cottage is available on Airbnb, and it wouldn't hurt you to get additional $25 for new reg (click here to use my code)!! The cottage will definitely be a better place to stay during summer, as they have bathtub to chill while looking outdoor 😩 The winter is just too cold to hang out on the balcony which has absolutely gorgeous clear starry sky 😍

Moonlight Heads

As GPS guided us wrongly we made the wrong turn and saw a few wildlife kangaroos! If you have plans to head to zoo, you may skip here as you would need to make a detour to head over twelve apostles so I would not really recommend it. Besides, outside the cottage has kangaroos too if you're lucky enough to see them and we are!! 😍 Saw those baby kangaroos that I might kidnap them into my car actually.

Twelve Apostles

I believed catching the sunrise here will be so gorgeous, like what we've experienced in Byron Bay! We both are a little too sleepy head and didn't manage to wake up before the sun.  But the view is still spectacular with the natural lightray filter that I've died for (with such weird poses )  🙂🔫

Port Campbell

This was pretty much a hidden gem when we're out grabbing our breakfast at 12 Rocks Beach Bar Cafe. The food was just decent and huge portion, but the view outside makes you feel like either an adult enjoying the view or a child who wants to quickly finish up your food to head out! Wanted to head down to the stairs but it was closed with a locked door #suchluck

London Bridge

I'm not sure why there is London Bridge on Great Ocean Road, but we drove along the road for each tourist attraction. There are some we gave it a missed due to the limited time we had, as we only rented the car for a day.

It will be great to spend two days there and head up to the lighthouse near Great Otway National Park ! We actually drove up but didn't head into the lighthouse as it needs $$$$ and we left with 15mins. But I'm pretty sure we drove past a koala bear hanging on the tree!!!

There is so much more you could do if you stayed for two days, do search up on the Yarra Valley Wine Tour! Enjoy your trip, and be safe!

Tiff

I've to declare that this post will be flooded with images, but I also would like to ensure you that it will be good! Besides, these are the shots that you could take during your trip over there, with some tips and the drive around and, of course, GREAT FOOD 🤤

Trust me when I say surfer paradise is overhyped, or we just head there at the wrong season. We didn't stay in that area but rather nearer to the theme park where it's a quieter neighborhood with no heater in the house 😂 I almost died from laughing when my friend froze there after a morning shower 😂

We managed to grab some Greek food, which is hell lot for the both of us! We ate it for both lunch and dinner. But my Cousin did mention there is a real good fish and chips around the corner of surfer paradise which is cheap yet good.

Because I'm unstoppable 😎 #theresbarrierbutistillwentin 🙂 #flytiff #goldcoastwtiff #misshapgirls #clozette

Theme park is always my favorite, and I really enjoyed laughing out loud when the ride speed from 20 to 100km/hr! (while my Friend screamed her lungs out) But we definitely had so much fun, or I would rather say too much 😆
There ain't many rides so it will be good to spend half a day there and the morning at paradise country, as paradise country opens till about 4pm, while movie world till 530pm. Also, a huge bonus is that the sunset is sooooo captivating 😍

Movie World Theme Park ticket: $97 at Groupon.au
Paradise country: $30 at Groupon.au

We stayed in Oxford-road, in an Airbnb, you can check them out here and use my code HERE!! So I can travel more! It has two living room, but we always walked to the near the balcony as it's cozier there and definitely due to the dolls in the first one!!

It's pretty much damn worth it as it's $70 which is the same price as staying in Airbnb near surfer paradise, just that this is SO MUCH BIGGER!

Breakfast is included where there are Tim-Tam, cornflakes, and vegemite which we gave it a try! Have it with bread and butter and spread them well. It tastes pretty thick and salty I would say. 😅
Recipe by my not-so Asian girlfriend who lives in Australia for quite some time!

Did most of our Gold Coast shopping here, and I would say it's a pretty good place to purchase all your clothes! My Friend has gotten a bomber jacket for a steal price of $30, which kept her cozy for the whole of our trip, cause she overestimates herself or underestimated the weather….❄️

A great movie place where you could experience the retro way of watching a movie, which is a DRIVE-IN MOVIE THEATRE!! It seems so much like Riverdale cartoon, or more commonly known as "The Archie". I think next time I would rent a lorry and but mattress at the back with blankets!! It is a good dating place!!

Yatala Drive-in theatre: $15 per pax (but you can shamelessly stay till the second one)

We drove all the way down to Byron Bay, at have a quick lunch stop at BSKT! I must say the food, people and ambiance are so good! , my friend has a small cut and the service staff helped her with the bandage, LIKE WHATTTT 😒🌚
The guacamole is the perfect match with the peanut butter as it adds a little crunch to the slight slime guacamole. While the guacamole went heavy on milk, it still tastes pleasantly nice. (Perhaps I’m just way too hungry from the shopping and driving.)

Bayon Bay greeted us with the most pleasant sunrise and dramatic clouds. The weather felt so crispy cold but I brave through it with a thin shirt thanks to IG-feel 😆 we need to walk up a rather small steep slope to get up to the lighthouse but it’s worth it to head there and the scenery is gorgeous. My take for Gold Coast is definitely YESSS! And If you don’t drive, I would suggest you to take the tour to the natural forest, which I might head over there the next time I visit Gold Coast/ Tasmania ❤️

Thank you for the great trip my homegirl, that is if you read this post and you better reply my text often bij. 😌

Hey Nommies!! I’m finally back with another foooood post 🤤. My favourites have to be the last three that I’ve mentioned in this post and still missing them soooo badly right now!

My head chef has recommended some places to eat, so definitely worth a visit and it’s really hidden gem!

Ginseng Chicken Soup Place 🐔🍲

If you’re heading to Korea during winter, then this might be the place to warm your soul! The boiling hot Ginseng Chicken, that tastes nothing but healing. It’s not exactly the taste of healthy, but I do fancy the mild Ginseng taste with the chicken broth being used as the base. The glutinous rice packed within the full small chicken has also absorbed the taste of the chicken. With the given ginseng soju shot, it starts the meal with a kick. Oh, I totally fancy the free kimchi radish pickles drooling

Damage for the pocket: $30 per pax

Raw Octopus 🐙

Not sure if you would like to be as kind as ming-ku who release the octopus, or eating them raw. I had raw squid in Hokkaido, but I love octopus even more. The tentacles of the octopus make it chewier, and with the mildly spicy sauce to perk up the taste.

Damage for the pocket: $12 per serving

Blood sausage: 🥘

Would definitely try the steamed blood sausage next time, but having it within a spicy stew taste more like a normal sausage instead. It doesn’t have much of the iron taste, unlike the Thailand blood jelly. But overall, I loved this spicy dish during the winter, as it warms us up, and the base is really great with rice! The portion is quite a lot for two ladies, so if you ain’t big eater, skip the rice will do the trick!

Damage for the pocket: $30 for two pax

JaJang Meong and Cheap Strawberry 🍜 and 🍓

The handmade noodle for the Jajeong Meong in this morning market is the bomb. Not only is the noodle on point, the pricing of the noodle is on point too! It’s only three dollars for everything you see here!! (Not inclusive of the cup of tteobokki people)

Also, it is a pretty great place even for a solo trip! As they have dedicated seat for an individual. So you don't have to feel awkward sharing seats! Do get there before the lunch crowd, because trust me, the queue is mega-long till outside the restaurant!

Address: Mangwong market, it's walkable distance from the  subway station

Damage for the pocket: $3 for one pax

At that area also sell really affordable strawberry, when I say affordable it means hell yeah cheap  🤑 It's like $6 for two rows of freaking huge and sweet strawberry!! I hate those sour ones, and I have freaking no ideas how to choose those sweet ones. So I kinda can guarantee 99% sweet (you might be the 1% suay kid 😅)

Total damage in this area for the pocket: $9

Korean BBQ 🍖🥓

I had it twice in Seoul, and I must say that it tastes pretty much the same at all part of Seoul, as the meats are fresh and prices are similar. I ate it at the lv 2 of Meongdong (officially my favourite place in Seoul ❤️

EATING LIKE A LOCAL 101:
1. Order white rice and kimchi soup
2. Place white rice and a few spoon or kimchi soup (with meat) and seaweed
3. IT'S SO FREAKING DELICIOUS THAT I KENNOT TAKE IT.

I ordered this in Myeongdong BBQ place, so be sure to do it!! Cause it's so damn good, omggg, imissingyoukorea 💔

Total damage in this area for the pocket: $20

Lobster Corn and Cheese 🌽

This is a flavour bursting dancing little lobster inside your mouth!! It's so legit! I must say, eat it while it's hot!! Cause the cheese melts soo well and stick with the lobster, while the corn adds to the flavour burst that helps to enhance the freshness of the lobster. Be sure it's fresh, as the queue is so froking long ya! But I must say it's pretty expensive as a street food, so I ate it on my last day which is when I know I've extra cash to spare!

Total damage in this area for the pocket: $15

Tteobokki and Odeng 🍢
Daily odeng activity 😍 #flytiff #seoulwtiff #seoultq
A post shared by Tiffany Lim (@heylazetiff) on Dec 27, 2016 at 4:54am PST

Lastly, IT HAS TO BE ODENG ODENG ODENG!! It's everywhere in the small booth!! So I love that feeling when you stand and have a simple odeng when it's so cold! Have some tteobokki too! It's about $3, while odeng is $1.50 per stick. It depends on location too! Myeongdong is $4 for 2 sticks, so get it near ulu places! Nyhhehhehhe

Do comment which are your favourites, and do suggest what are food that I could eat there! Cause I might head over again!!

Tiffany
