Tweekly; Wealth

Money is the root of all evil. Agree or not is you choice. But one thing that I know now is, we all can't live without money.

In the past, maybe money isn't really important. People prefer relax live style and really chillax and spend what they earn in the short run and maybe saving a little for retirement because life then is still just revolve around family and friends.

Correct me if I'm wrong. But life now revolves around family, friends, stress, cash, cars and house. Like what they used to say, the 5Cs; cash, credit card, car, condominium and Country club membership. This now turned to reality, because people are really based on these to find their other mates.

Money is rather important nowadays, especially in Singapore, when it’s a fine country. Whenever we are getting richer and richer, we used to forget about the poor and remember only the ways to earn more.

I used to hear one short story from my dad. He said that people who drive Mercedes and when they passed by a beggar, they would only donate $5, but when a man walking down the street and saw a beggar, they might donate $50.

And I feel, because they know how the beggars feel. The feelings of not having a shelter over their head, empty stomach every other day. They know how these tortures, so they would be donate generously. Whereas, the rich might be born out with a silver spoon, so they wouldn't know these, or they are simply selfish and want to keep all their money in their coffin.

Singaporeans are always known to be the most generous country when there is donation needed. But there are many embezzlement cases in Singapore for charity. People lose faith, but they still have a little hope and willing to donate. However, people are afraid of being cheated for the second or even the third time.

After these cases, why not just go down to the old folk home, orphanage or others to make your donation? I really think that if people are earn money because they are asking people to donate. Karma is approaching you soon, and all those you earned will soon need to spend on some illness or whatsoever. Buying tissues from those old folks selling them are alright, but sometimes, there are way too many of them in a path. So uncle and aunties, maybe you want to look for a job which requires less movement?

P.S/ Money are used to spend, and sometimes you know you should do some good deeds.
